Stay Put
You can find some big olive trees in the Tuscany region of Italy.
Occasionally, you might see a majestic one standing amongst
a grove of much younger trees. It is a sight to behold.
This is my entry to The Summer of Color, Paint Party Friday and IF.
Tuscany has always been on my wish list of destinations and studying your painting is making me pine for it even more so. I have a bad case of Wanderlust at the moment and you are to blame :)

Wow! Love the beautiful texture in this wonderful olive tree! Olives are one of my favorites and I eat them every day! Never met an olive I did not love, even in a painting!

ReplyDeleteWonderful painting! Lovely tecture too. I really love seeing olive trees too. But last time I made the foolish mistake of trying to eat an olive off the branch. Yuck.

ReplyDeleteLiving amongst olive trees in the Valencian region of Spain..I also find myself often in awe by the larger ones..the locals say some olives can be one to two thousand years old..this makes me stand near them..guess there age and think about the events that have past whilst they had stood there...Your painting is a great tribute to that!
