Seeing Double

A watercolor inspired by the silent movie actress Louise Brooks.

The assignment at Daily Paintworks is to use the same reference and
create two different paintings.  Neither of these little pieces look like Louise
but I changed the format on the second one and also gave her an asian looking
eyeform.  I am working on number three and four right now.  One with a closed
eye and the other with a smiling mouth.  This is actually a fun assignment.
Go on over to Daily Paintworks to view more interesting Doubles or better yet...
submit your Double before Saturday.

Happy Painting!

I am also sharing this with Paint Party Friday.

Hi Cynnie
Sorry I've not been visiting but life a wee bit difficult.
Anyway I am here at the moment and that is all that matters.
Oh my goodness. You do know of course that this is my era. I can definitely see the reference to Ms Brooks and I could definitely see this in my Boudoir lol.

I have always admired artists. My dad has the artistic gene, but failed to pass it on to me. Lovely, lovely work!

SO glad to when your paintings make an appearance. That first one is very seductive. She looks like she is a spy that has a story to tell.

your paintings are wonderful, both.
how fun that you are doing a number of them in different ways.

this past month i have taken part of 29 faces, basically a face a day. I love drawing and painting faces. It has been fun and interesting to post that much art this month (my other blog). wishing you a grand time with your art.
