Blueberry Delight

I have been having so much fun in my classes....painting and photography.  Lots of action around
here.  I know I have been quiet on the blogging front but I have been making lots of art.
I am presently working on two blueberry watercolors.  They are both in the first washes.

 Here is the second one.
Yes, I know they look VERY pink but that will all even itself out
as I apply more washes.
I am painting these two in pure watercolor.  You will understand
why as you  keep on reading this post.

This is a watercolor and gouache with ink that I did this past summer.  I kept applying thin layers of
white gouache around the edges until I liked the blurrrrrrr....mainly because I did not like the fact that
I painted it to death with the gouache.  Gouache does that to me once in awhile so I just faded it out
and left a focal point and of course, added a digital frame.

Another one.....watercolors and wax pastel.  Again using  white gouache in the periphery

This one is gouache and wax pastel and yes, you guessed it......white gouache in the periphery here too.
I had fun experimenting with mixing my mediums.

I am sharing this with Paint Party Friday and Nature Footstep.

Hope you are doing well and having a good start to your week.

More Paper Fun

I was having some more paper fun painting these patterned papers.

Today it is the Red Series.
Bright and cheerful colors for fun summer art making.

Click on the Butterflies.

Feel free to print the patterns and use them in your  projects
if you so desire.

The resolution has been left large so
it should be a decent print.  Let me know
if you have any problems and I will send you an email with the foto instead.
The butterflies were inspired from a simple dinner Serviette.

Click on the Stripes.

Stripes are always useful when
it comes to mixing
and matching patterns.

Click on the Maze.

All the patterns were painted with watercolor and gouache.

Print them out,,,
stamp them with your favorite stamps, add more paint, mix and match them.
Go make something with them.  If you do,,,please let me know and I
will feature your project here on my blog.

Want more free papers then check these out.

Come back tomorrow for the Green Series of  free papers.
Later this week
I will share a few examples
of  how other arty bloggers have used some of the previous
papers in their projects.

Start your week off on the creative side!

Color Chart

Made some quick cards with Gouache.

Spent last weekend in a Gouache workshop.

I really like the consistency of Gouache. After doing these
color charts I kept going and made a few cards with
the same idea.

Enjoy your weekend.

Poppy Field

Poppy Field
Poppies are everywhere right now... fields and fields
of them.
Go out in the early morning when the air is cool and the
mist still clings to the ground. It is really quiet...just you
and a field of poppies.

Vamos a la Playa

Vamos a la Playa

I find it hard to belive that summer is almost here.
Whenever I think of summer I think of the beach.
I don´t live anywhere near the ocean. I have in the
past and I miss the sea air, the carefree atmosphere
that seems to abound near the water and all that
bright sunshine.

Today I painted a miniature watercolor of my
favorite beach.

What are your memories of summers gone by?
