Go Ahead and Smile

You know you are somebody´s reason to smile don´t you.....

It is always a good thing to bring a smile to somebody´s face.

It makes life that much more enjoyable.

These are some of the birthday cards I made for October.  I know a lot of  people who had
their birthday´s in October.....
Are you an October baby?
I am a January girl myself.....what month were you born in?

I am sharing this with Mandarin Orange Monday.

Tis the Season

Tis the Season....in a rainbow of washi tape colors.

Pick a color.

Any color.

Maybe you are a purple person.

Or a pink person.

I love the color orange.

I had fun using up some of my assorted washi tapes.
Some quick and easy Christmas cards.

I am sharing this with Take a Word.

You  know what they say don´t you...
A girl can never be too rich, too skinny or have
too much washi tape.

Angel

Another Christmas card.

A simple angel in oil pastel on a watercolor background.

Do you send out cards at Christmas or is it a fading tradition.
Maybe more and more people send Christmas email cards
instead.

Leave a comment and tell me if you send or don´t send.

I am sharing this with Paint Party Friday.

some greeting cards I have been making.

Drawing some lines,,,filling them in with watercolor and then writing

A few snaps of the goings on in my laboratory.

Now you know what I am up to when my blog is all quiet and you don´t
hear a word from me for days at a time.
I am hold up in my lab surrounded by paint and paper.

Color Chart

Made some quick cards with Gouache.

Spent last weekend in a Gouache workshop.

I really like the consistency of Gouache. After doing these
color charts I kept going and made a few cards with
the same idea.

Enjoy your weekend.

Is it Snowing Yet?

Where is all the snow?
It seems strange that I have not yet had to
shovel my driveway and it is December.

December and almost Christmas...and no
snow in sight. I had to add some snowflakes
to these cards in glimmery, glitzy metallic inks.

I wonder if we will have a white Christmas this year.
How much snow have you had so far?

I am sharing my snowflakes with The Three Muses, Stampotique

Peridot

Peridot
I have been painting a lot of green papers this week
for bookbinding projects. I used some of one of the
papers to make a quick card with one of my favorite quotes.

Connections I

I Am the Connections That I Weave
I find one of the best points about blogging is that it allows me
to weave quite a few connections in many
different and interesting directions.

My trusty screw punch was again,,,called into action.
Various watercolor stripes are connected by metallic threads.

The quote is from Suzanne at Quiet Fire Design in Canada. She
has been busy creating new quotes as well as giving her website
a fresh coat of paint. Go connect for yourself.

I am linking this to Simply Less is Moore as well as
Created by Hand which is Quiet Fire´s weekly challenge.

You Sparkle

You Sparkle
Somebody should really take my ink pen away from me.
I don´t know what is more addictive....punching swiss cheese
type holes in everything with my screw punch or doodling
on every piece of paper I can find.

Hope your day sparkles!

More or Less

Just Be You
I like geometric shapes. I added a bit MORE on this
card by doodling around each shape with my trusty
pilot pen. I like to doodle.

Here is how it looked before I jazzed it up.
A lot LESS without the black contrast.
I like both versions but I will let you decide for yourself.
What do you think?

This is my entry to Simply Less is Moore.

Cupcakes

Cupcakes

My little cupcakes fit right in over at
Crazy Amigos. I would not have done another post
about anything to eat but they twisted my arm and
made me do it.

You may remember a cupcake from awhile back or even
this strawberry cake. You can look cause they are calorie
free.

Outside My Window

Outside My Window

Outside my window I see many different
flowers....all in beautiful bloom.

I stamped a flower and doodled a frame
with my trusty pilot pen.

Vamos a la Playa

Vamos a la Playa

I find it hard to belive that summer is almost here.
Whenever I think of summer I think of the beach.
I don´t live anywhere near the ocean. I have in the
past and I miss the sea air, the carefree atmosphere
that seems to abound near the water and all that
bright sunshine.

Today I painted a miniature watercolor of my
favorite beach.

What are your memories of summers gone by?

Life

Life

I painted some watercolor swatches of various
blue shades, stamped some numbers and a
quote onto a white card.
I think the washi tape adds just the right touch,
don´t you.
