Hi Cynnie! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and leaving such a sweet comment about my fabric collage. I'm so glad you did because now I've found your beautiful blog. I'm off to look around a bit and then sign up as a follower.
Ohhh, Cynnie!!! Great minds think alike!!! Neither one of us wants to feel "blue"!!!!! Thanks so much for your blog visits and comments. They mean the world to me!!!! I'm glad you like the background. Hugs, Terri xoxo
I admit, I've had my head in the sand (or rather a tutorial I'm working on) and haven't been around blogland much for the past two days. However, I stopped by Terri's blog and saw her freebie. Of course I saw your post and HAD to come see what all the fuss was about. Now I am laughing so hard, I may not make it back to that tutorial for awhile. What a perfect postcard. Maybe you should send it to Terri (grin).
Hehe what a great quote!!! Gorgeous postcard, I think just looking at it would make me feel less blue! Thanks so much for your wonderful comments! I agree those Toraja roofs would not cut it with the Bauhaus group haha. I looked into the shape of the roofs for you, I'm going to have to add that to my post...that was actually such an important question, thanks for asking it. What I found out is that a Toraja legend claims that as their ancestors crossed the high seas, a storm threw them ashore. Once on land they used their boats as roofs, and today still shape them in this manner to represent their origins. Another theory is that the roof is meant to look like the shape of a buffalo’s horn, since the Toraja worship the buffalo which is a symbol of fertility, protection and strength.
