I use to run to my Garden to ease my mind, until I messed up my knees and shoulders. Now I play with rubber, inks and paper and that works also! Beautiful garden you have created! Love your painted garden!

a lovely painting! i'm not so green fingered so not sure about that being a remedy for me but if we ever got some sunshine just sitting in my garden would be remedy enough!

You always make me feel like I want to take up paiting again. I tossed it aside quite some time ago, because I felt like I had a lack of skills. Things just never turned out the way I wanted them. But you make it look sooo easy. This is truly fabulous!!

One of my favourite flowers. Beautiful contrasts Cynnie and I like the ethereal quality of the watercolour, especially on the right Iris.
The garden is a lovely place to regroup when life seems to be pulling us in all directions.
You have a wonderful weekend too.

Absolutely true Cynnie, gardening is a great healer, and your Iris's are truly beautiful. You too have a nice weekend.

Time in the garden or walking in the park always makes me feel better too :) I love the very fluid washes you've used here.

Such wonderful irises - some of my favorite flowers in my garden. They have such a beautiful combination of color when you really study them which you have in order to paint them so beautifully, Cynnie!

The iris is a fascinating flower, isn't it? My maternal grandmother had a huge iris garden...my mother preferred peonies to iris(es). My youngest sister has some beautiful varieties of the iris blooming in her garden. Your painting is delightful, Cynnie.

Beautiful! The dark negative areas between the stems and leaves really make them pop!

Stunning. The flowers are beautiful with the subtle different colors among the violet, but I think the greenery is was attracts me to this painting so much--the variation of hue and the splatter of color--you've created great depth and interest.
